Fatinoye was killed alongside his wife, who was until the incident a Principal Confidential Secretary at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB.

DAILY POST gathered that the unknown persons had stormed the Ibara GRA residence of the couple at a time they just returned from the New Year crossover service.
A source told our correspondent that the couple were killed and set ablaze by their assailants inside their house.

Also, the couple’s son and domestic staff were reportedly taken away by the assassins.
Ogun State police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident, saying: “It is true the incident happened. Investigation has commenced. Somebody has been arrested in connection with the incident. The man and his wife were killed and we are yet to find their child who was taken away.”

He further confirmed: “The incident happened after 12 in the morning. This is a clear case of assassination and we are not leaving any stone unturned to unravel those behind the killings

“How Lagos policeman k*lled my 7-month- old pregnant wife” – Bolanle Raheem’s Husband
Gbenga Raheem, the husband of a female lawyer, Omobolanle, who was shot dead by an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi, has narrated how his wife was killed.

Gbenga spoke on Monday when sympathisers visited his house in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

It can be recalled that Omobolanle was coming from an eatery with some family members on Christmas Day and had tried to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge when the cop shot at her vehicle.

The 41-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

It was gathered that the woman, who had a child, was seven-month pregnant when tragedy struck.

The victim’s husband, Gbenga, said, “On December 25, my wife, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who had come for the holiday, all went to church. On our way back, my wife said since it was Christmas Day, we should take everyone out, so, we went to a supermarket at Abraham Adesanya, then to Domino’s Pizza.

“After that, we headed towards Ajah to do a U-turn to come back to Abraham Adesanya. When we took the U-turn, we saw policemen stopping some vehicles. As we approached them, they said we should stop, and in the process, we heard a loud sound on my wife’s side window. All of a sudden, I saw blood gushing out of her chest.

“I immediately ran out; my sister-in-law, who was also with us, ran out and held the policeman; he cocked his gun at her too. Talking to him was pointless, so I went to see if anything could be done; I saw my wife gasping for breath, and by that time, my sister-in-law had brought the policeman into the car and pushed him into the front seat.

“We drove to a hospital but they said they couldn’t handle it; we eventually took her to Grandville Hospital, where she was confirmed dead. The policemen took her body and put it in the truck; they wanted me to follow them but I said I needed to go and settle my children.”

The deceased worshipped with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Olive Tree Parish, Banana Island, Ikoyi. Lagos, where she functioned as a Sunday school teacher.

The body of Bamise Ayanwola, who was found dead after boarding a bus belonging to the Bus Rapid Transport scheme, in February, has been buried in Lagos on Friday.

She was buried at Atan Cemetery, Yaba.

Ayanwola went missing after boarding a bus at the Chevron area of Lekki on her way to Oshodi. Her body was found days later. A BRT driver, Andrew Ominnikoron, is facing counts of conspiracy, r**e and murder over Ayanwola’s killing.

Three Sentenced To D€ath By Hanging For R@pe And Murd€r Of Unilorin Student Olajide Blessing Omowumi

Kwara State High Court has sentenced three to d£ath by hanging for the r@pe and murd£r of University of Ilorin student, Olajide Blessing Omowumi, 24.

The convicts were sentenced on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Ilorin after a one and half year legal battle.

The 300-level Agricultural Sciences student was found d£ad in her sister's home on 2nd June, 2021 with her mouth gagged with clothes and bruises on her private part.

A pathologist at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Dr. Kayode Adeniyi informed the court that the autopsy confirmed she was r@ped and strangled to d£ath.

Eight prime suspects, Abdulazeez Ismail, Ajala Oluwatimileyin (aka Jacklord), Oyeyemi Omogbolahan, Abdulkarim Shuaib (aka Easy), Kareem Rasheed (Rashworld), Abdullateef Abdulrahman, Daud Adebayo (aka Bashman) and Akande Taiye Oladojawere, were arrested by DSS in connection with the murder and r**e.

The trial judge, Justice Ibrahim Adebayo Yusuf who handed down the judgement, convicted 1st, 2nd and 3rd suspects; Abdulazeez Ismail, Ajala Oluwatimileyin and Oyeyemi Omogbolahan, for the offences of culpable homicide punishable with death, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to murd£r.

The fourth and fifth accused persons were each sentenced to three years in imprisonment for the offence of theft.

Earlier, the court discharged and acquitted 6th, 7th and 8th suspects; Abdullateef Abdulrahman, Daud Bashir Aderayo and Akande Taiye Oladoja on the basis that they were not found guilty of any charges against them.

The 165-typewritten-page judgement, which got almost the whole courtroom shedding tears while being read by Justice Yusuf, saw even the judge weeping openly for more than two minutes while recounting the process of how the deceased was r**ed, leading to her d£ath.

The judge held that the gang had the intention of theft and r@pe without the intention to kill, however, added that their act led to homicide.
