Dear filmmakers and actors, I am looking for recommendations in casting the lead role for my university’s creative dissertation which is an interactive audio drama computer game prototype (I know thats a bit of a mouthful - I call it an IAD).
I’m building off the success of my previous smaller prototype and I have made several audio dramas in the past. I intend to continue working on this project after I complete the prototype, turning it into a published game. During the prototype phase the roles will be unpaid, but I will be negotiating rates from the beginning to backpay when it comes to moving the prototype forward to its commercial phase as I cannot publish it without compensating involvement for all involved.
The project is called ‘The Last Siren: City of the Drowned’. Set in a post-apocalyptic, flooded London, it tells the story of Styx, a former thief and ex-soldier returning home from war whilst looking for a new beginning, but can she really escape the sins of her past when there are still so many secrets waiting to be discovered?
Character Name: Hirogyma Styx
Gender: Female
Accent: Cockney (open to different types)
Ethnicity: Black British (Japanese mother, Black British father)
You will either need professional voice recording gear or be local to London/Surrey and willing and able to travel to Royal Holloway University (travel covered). I would prefer someone able to work remote though with previous experience in voice over work.
More roles will be opened to casting in the next few weeks. I’ve got a lot of roles to fill.
