So not the trasnfer window we wanted, while i agree its not a simple as alot of fans think and the abuse Berta is getting is a sign of the times where real opinions are rare, and knee jerk reactions and click bait is more important than looking at the facts and trusting that the club know what they arwe doing. We are one of the best teams in europe right now we were in a position to win three trophys last season. Yes we lost the two finals but we were there. Improving this squad was always going to be hard in this market with crazy fees for good players. Now we had our targets that is clear for me Vini jr and Alverez were always unlikely and i think the media made more of those deals than was ever the case. That said that is the level of player we need to raise the level adding Bruno and Konsa did that. But if you are not able to get a deal done for the players you want why settle for less ?.
All the banter about players rejecting us is laughable, The players we wantes were either way to expensive or just not possible what people forget last season was one of the worst for injurys to key players this year if we can keep all our forwards fit we have options, this also means Eze will get alot more game time on the left. Last season after christmas most key players were running on empty and that was one od themain reasons for a more defensive style of play. Now we have cover in all postions yes having let Jesus,Martinelli and trossard go we are a bit light however only Trossard was a starter and i think we have enough to get to the jan wimdow and would rather wait than sign anyone just for the sake of it.
We are a team that are no longer pretenders we are now the champions and a group of winners who are hungry for more we didnt need a rebuild or huge investment. All the other clubs have spent huge money on big signings Man city have gone big their rebuild but have lost Pep, Silva, Rodri stones Liverpool have changed manager and again lost trent,Diaz, Jota, Mo salha as well as VVD getting older. Chelsea for me have got the best in terms of a new manager and haeve made some good addtions however still look weak defensivly and im still not sure about the overall mentality that will take time. Overall i dont see anything to fear there has been a shift in mentality with this group most wrote us off after the loss to city and laughed at Dec when he said its not over, 5 wims out of 5 and city couldnt match us .People moan about dark arts but winners are masters of it you have to be, Mikel has made us the best odd twh ball by far every player has to work for the team and that is one reason its not easy to find new players who fit our squad.
