Aral Sea

Aral Sea An Inclusive & Sustainable Production Company creating Media with Social Impact. Our ethos is simple: diversity, inclusiveness and care for the environment.

Aral Sea produces films, documentaries, podcasts and viral campaigns for organisations whose work and interests are connected to environmental and social justice issues. We are also committed to sharing the work of talented creatives and using our company as a platform to help others. We are moving the spotlight onto underrepresented creatives, artists and thinkers. We believe that for too long, i

ntelligent and challenging minds have been blocked from creative industries and we've decided to do something about it. We are relentless in hammering down the barriers that stop people from taking part in producing film, photography and audio. If people have something interesting and new to say, we want to help them say it. Started in 2019 by Pauline Blanchet, the company was founded on a desire to change the film landscape and create a more inclusive and thoughtful process. Since then we have expanded into audio, video and commercial content production, as well as launching our own online magazine, The Tide.

Proud to announce that THE GULF WAR HAPPENED by Filomena Oporto will be screening at War on Screen Festival 2025.

Revisiting Jean Baudrillard’s provocative claim that “The Gulf War did not take place,” the film reactivates archival material 30 years later, uncovering a chaotic and human reality behind the media spectacle.

An Inclusive & Sustainable Production Company

We are relentless in hammering down the barriers that stop people from taking part in producing film, photography and audio. If people have something interesting and new to say we want to help them say it.

We believe that for too long intelligent and challenging minds have been blocked from creative industries and we've decided to do something about it.

We have recently launched a podcast production section as well as an online Magazine call the tide, edited by Thea Sun.

There are many ways to get involved so come and join our community!
