Aral Sea

Aral Sea An Inclusive & Sustainable Production Company creating Media with Social Impact. Our ethos is simple: diversity, inclusiveness and care for the environment.

Aral Sea produces films, documentaries, podcasts and viral campaigns for organisations whose work and interests are connected to environmental and social justice issues. We are also committed to sharing the work of talented creatives and using our company as a platform to help others. We are moving the spotlight onto underrepresented creatives, artists and thinkers. We believe that for too long, i

ntelligent and challenging minds have been blocked from creative industries and we've decided to do something about it. We are relentless in hammering down the barriers that stop people from taking part in producing film, photography and audio. If people have something interesting and new to say, we want to help them say it. Started in 2019 by Pauline Blanchet, the company was founded on a desire to change the film landscape and create a more inclusive and thoughtful process. Since then we have expanded into audio, video and commercial content production, as well as launching our own online magazine, The Tide.

The workshop offered a rare space to rethink how we tell stories that hold power to account, ask urgent questions, and give voice to what is often left out. Huge thanks to the brilliant mentors who guided us:
Robert Zuber, Radu Ciorniciuc, Ieva Balsiūnaitė, Viktorija Mickute, Ovidiu Vanghele, Vlad Stoicescu, and Ana Maria Ciobanu. And of course, the wonderful Neda✨

And a heartfelt thank you to the other participating filmmakers and podcast creators — your projects challenged and inspired us. It’s an honour to be developing alongside such urgent and courageous work.
