ME2U: A collective manifesto with and presents 𝓜𝓪𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓪 𝓶𝓲𝔁𝓽𝓪𝓹𝓮 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓫𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓯𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓭 💘

ᴡᴏʀᴋꜱʜᴏᴘ: In a quest to re-centre the complexity, tenderness, and the love we feel for our closest friends both in our personal experiences and collectively within the dominant culture, I invite you to join me in this embodiment workshop dedicated to platonic love.

In the session, we will reflect on the storytelling and emotional qualities of music as a way of spiritually connecting to our friends - whether near or far.

Through a soft ritual made up of orienting exercises, active listening, desire mapping, and gentle movement, we will move through memories, feelings, and songs to create a playlist that can be gifted to your best friend(s) as a loving appreciation of your journeys together.

ʙᴏᴡ ᴏᴘᴇɴ ᴇᴠᴇɴᴛ ᴘʀᴏɢʀᴀᴍᴍᴇ: ME2U sees Bow Arts resident artists share their methods of survival, in ode to the ceremony of togetherness and the resourcefulness found not just within oneself, but community too. The event programme reflects this theme by celebrating and exploring tools, acts, objects and methods that contribute to community betterment through ceremonial sharing.

Thank you my heart Lauryn Youden () for having us in your altar of care✨

Youden’s solo show, Visionary of Knives, showcases altars filled w/ dried flowers, medicine, herbs, books, candles & ritual-based objects. The content of the altars documents the survival strategies she has developed to navigate an ableist world.

Her personal collection of literature & zines are also on display, made by other crip q***r artists, healers, writers & thinkers, the exhibition is an invitation to encounter a space dedicated to Youden’s care & the discourses of her community.
