We are delighted to be in production with our first commission for ITV and ITVX

She Lies in Wait (w/t) is a stylish, suspenseful story from the Jonah Sheens series of novels, created by Gytha Lodge, and adapted for television by acclaimed screenwriter, Ed Whitmore

Martin McCann will play the leading role of DI Jonah Sheens, an instantly likeable, industrious and meticulous detective, who lives and breathes his work. Ella Dacre plays enthusiastic new recruit DC Anita Hanson and Stephen Tompkinson is the experienced DS Donald Tudor.

She Lies in Wait (w/t) will be internationally distributed by STUDIO TF1.

Breaking news from Edinburgh TV Festival

Clapperboard Studios will partner with Lime Pictures and L16 Studios to boost filming in the UK.

Speaking on the panel: Not To Be Dramatic But... Does UK Drama Need Saving, Clapperboard founder and MD Mike Benson shared the news as part of a discussion about the importance of producing drama in the UK.

Lime Pictures and L16 will not only become a strategic studio partner in the UK but also create a route to other UK regional and national funding avenues.

As a benefit to the wider UK production community, this venture aims to create jobs at all levels and tangible training opportunities to bolster the pipeline in the region.

Who is Alice Bell?

Cooper & Fry, our critically acclaimed detective drama, produced in association with STUDIO TF1 has been recommissioned by Channel 5 for a new 8x60’ series.

Series two will continue to follow unlikely detective duo Ben Cooper and Diane Fry, played by Robert James-Collier and Mandip Gill, as they investigate a string of eerie murder cases in the mystery-shrouded Peak District.

Ben and Diane will navigate cases steeped in the legendary folklore of the area, all while battling each other’s conflicting investigation styles and facing their complicated personal lives head on.

Series two also sees the return of Lorcan Cranitch as DI Hitchens and Charlotte Bradley as Isobel Cooper. New faces include Pollyanna McIntosh-Goldthwait as DI Kim Armstrong, Scott Graham as DC Gavin Murfin and Kathy Rose O’Brien as Liz Petty.

Cooper & Fry is adapted from Stephen Booth’s best-selling novels of the same name, and the new series will cover The Devil’s Edge, Fall Down Dead, One Last Breath and The Murder Road.

Four people sat around a table seemingly set for a dinner party – except they are all dead. The only clue is a scorpion crawling out of one of the victim’s mouths… it's An Impossible Way to Die.

Our new six part thriller, due to air on Channel 5 in 2027, turns the procedural genre on its head. DS Katie Salter (Sharon Rooney) is not your stereotypical damaged and tormented tv detective. Smart, diligent and committed to her family, tensions quickly surface when Salter is partnered with DI Niall Conway (Emmett J. Scanlan), lead investigator on the case. Salter’s measured, grounded approach clashes with Conway’s all-consuming dedication to the job.

At first, the two detectives appear fundamentally incompatible. Yet, as the investigation deepens and the pressure intensifies, Conway begins to recognise the value of Salter's empathy, optimism, and instinctive understanding of people.

Further confirmed cast includes Lois Chimimba, Jonny Lavelle and Ashley McGuire.
DCD Rights will handle international distribution.

We are over the moon to be nominated as Production Company of the Year in the Edinburgh TV Festival awards 2026.

From April 2025 to March 2026 we have had NINE brilliant shows come to air including: The Madame Blanc Christmas Special, The Good Ship Murder 3, The Rumour, Cooper & Fry, Number One Fan, The Game and Teacher 3 on 5, plus The Ex Wife 2 and Girl Taken on Paramount Plus.

Huge thanks to all of our brilliant cast and crew whose talent and hard work make these productions possible.

This is our third nomination (third time lucky!) and as ever, we're delighted to be in such great company, it's truly an honour to be in this category.
