"I don’t mind being rich and sad, as long as I’m rich."
People came at me for saying this, but I won’t pretend to be someone I’m not. I’ve been poor and I’ve been rich. And believe me, sadn£ss feels different when you have money. Money doesn’t fix everything, but it gives you choices. Being sad and poor is wors£. If you’re rich and sad, you can cry on a beach in the Maldives.
Let’s be honest: many of the people judging me would love to live my life. The same ones saying “money isn’t everything” are hoping for a money miracle. I’m not saying money takes away pain, but it makes it easier to deal with. You won’t really get it unless you’ve had to pick between paying rent or buying food.
In the end, I’d rather face my problems in a nice apartment than go hungry. This is how I feel, and I’m not hiding it to make people like me. If you understand, you understand."
