Tried out adapted paddleboarding for the first time yesterday as part of my pal Gemma Love hen do!!

The adapted part is a a seat to sit on instead of having to kneel or stand on space for an instructor to paddle with you. And it was so much fun!!

Thank you to Central Scotland Adventures for offering this as an option- it meant I could join in with everyone else without hurting myself or feeling out of my comfort zone. Don’t worry though, by the end I made sure I got in the water too to get the 🙌 full paddleboarding experience 🙌

I really didn’t think I was gonna get so philosophical about what is essentially messing around with some paint. But I like art! I like making things! I like getting messy and rolling around in paint.

Last weekend some of my artwork was shown at Draw to Perform Festival 2026: Drawing on Disability. Unfortunately I couldn’t be there (I was at a a very different kind of festival 🤘🎸) . I’m so happy I could still be involved though, thanks to for arranging for my performance to be filmed and screened, and for the opportunity!

My work involved using paint, my wheelchair wheels and my dosset box (the plastic box my medication comes in) to create art. I really enjoyed taking every day objects from my life as a disabled person and creating something out of them.

It was very messy and lots of fun. I’m really excited to see the video and see how it turned out. Thanks also to for letting me use the studio space

I spent yesterday making a mess (and some art) using my wheelchair tyres and my dosset box (the little plasticky thing that my pre prepared medication comes in. These pieces will be a part of the festival on the 25th and 26th July so 👀 for that!
