‘IT'S RUDE TO USE HIM IN THIS WAY’
Dr. Lox Andutan, son of Dr. Raul Winston Andutan, clarified that the death of his father has nothing to do with extrajudicial killings (EJK) after his photo was used as one of “EJK victims” during a rally at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) on Saturday.
“I'm not sure why these people used my dad's picture, but he did not die from anything related to EJK. Wala [pong] connection to former president Duterte either,” he wrote in his Facebook post.
Andutan said that his father was murdered due to “greed, jealousy, and reasons that our family could never understand and accept,” and the killers are in jail.
“Our family wants to clear his name and image from those rallies na ginamit siya pero hindi naman humingi ng consent,” he told The Philippine STAR.
He called the use of his father’s photo “rude” as the late urologist dedicated his life to serving patients.
“It's very disrespectful to use my dad's image in EJK rallies, never ‘yun naging rason for his death… It's RUDE to use him in this way, at i-associate siya sa EJK,” he said in another Facebook post. (Photo courtesy of Jean Margareth Baguion/The Manila Collegian)
