What is the AIDA model?

The AIDA model is a marketing technique used in copy to create structure.

It stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action.

🔹Attention

The first element of the copy should have a strong hook that grabs attention.

🔹Interest

Secondly, you need to get your audience intrigued, you could use interesting statistics or something that is relatable, such as a problem.

🔹Desire

Showcase how your product or service solves the problem in a way that is simple to understand.

🔹Action

Create a clear call to action to make it obvious what you want your audience to do.

Save this for later 😉

There are a ton of acronyms out there in the marketing world, especially when it comes to metrics. It is also vital to know how metrics are calculated, so you can create your own KPIs to have an idea of what a successful campaign can look like.

It's important to know what these mean if you are running paid ads or thinking of it for the future.

🌻 CPC - Cost per click
How it's measured: Amount spent divided by the number of clicks

🌻 CTR - Click-through rate
How it's measured: Number of clicks divided by impressions.

🌻 ROAS - Return on ad spend*
How it's measured: Revenue (through ads) divided by amount spent and multiplied by 100.

🌻CPM - Cost per 1,000 impressions/ mile
How it's measured: Amount spent divided by impressions multiplied by 1,000.

5 reasons your need paid ads in your marketing strategy.

Reach your goals faster, whether it’s increasing conversion or growing your community.

🔥 Paid ads, whether it's through search or social are low-cost alternatives to traditional marketing methods such as TV, radio, billboards and print.

🔥 Reaching your target audience is a whole lot easier, which is necessary when your product/ service is more niche.

🔥 Your ads come out the other end with data that proves which pieces reached who and how many of those actually became customers.

🔥 You can use existing data from previous ads you have run to retarget and nurture your warm leads.

🔥 Paid ads for social means your potential customers can seamlessly land on your profiles to learn more info, engage and follow you, with minimal effort on the end.

If you found these insightful, let me know! There are more tips on their way.

A lot of business owners think organic content is all that's needed in social media marketing.

That may be true for some businesses, however, a lot are missing out on the benefits of paid reach.

Reasons to invest in paid ads include:

🌼 Retargeting people that are ready to buy
🌼 Raise awareness of new product launches
🌼 Educate a wider audience, outside of your followers
🌼 Show off those reviews and success stories to more people

You don't need a huge budget to get started with paid ads. even starting with £200 a month in ad spend can work.

Before running ads you need a well-defined target audience, clear objectives and an awesome strategy.

It's also important to work on organic reach side by side, and I recommend having at least a few posts before launching any ads.

You need some organic content for your paid reach audience to land on if they want to learn more about the product/ service and they will likely check social profiles first since they are already browsing.

To summarise, paid ads need organic content to back them up and vice versa.

Hi, I'm Sadia,

I like donkeys, plants and photography.

I'm about to share some bite-sized tips and tricks about paid ads marketing.

Why am I doing this? I noticed there aren't many creators posting about paid ads on Instagram.

With Instagram being a popular hub for start-ups and rising SMEs, I knew it would be important to be the central place for learning about a core part of digital marketing.

I'll make learning about paid ads fun.

How often have your customers followed a sales funnel perfectly?

For me, hardly ever.

Ask yourself this: "Do I go through a linear buying journey when I am the customer to someone else?"

You might find that you most likely don't; Priorities change, life happens.

So why would I expect my prospects to go through one linear path?

Although it is true that people do follow patterns, the sequences I have seen in well-known sales funnel models are a bit too tight.

Those things are just loose guidelines, not gospel.

The customer journey is better described with the Flywheel model; prospects will continue to orbit around your products/services repeatedly before becoming your customers...

All that's needed is a little nurturing and patience, then suddenly... BULLSEYE! 🎯🎯🎯

Happy ! I've got some Wednesday Wisdom to share...

It's important to take time out each week to reflect on how your digital marketing strategy is doing. Here are a few do's and don't's to take a note of:

✔️ Network: Get to know people with small businesses, you never know what opportunities you can give each other down the road.
✔️ Blog: I know blogs seem so 2010, but evergreen content is still so powerful. People still have questions about marketing, SEO, PPC, etc and that's why it's so important to have a blog post about these things to explain them under your own domain.
✔️ Engage: Taking time to comment and like posts from other people is an easy way to support others and their businesses. It also increases your own visibility.
✔️ Share: Give away your knowledge and show people that you are an expert in your field. Share posts from others that you found insightful as another way to give support.

❌ Don't languish: Languishing is when you stay still and stop making progress.
❌ Don't compare: Forget about what other people are doing and what stage of their career they are at. You have your own journey.
❌ Don't worry: This sounds easier said than done, but worrying will slow you down. Think about what makes you worried, address it and take care of it so you can focus on growing again.
❌ Don't do nothing: Keep having a plan in place to keep moving forward, even if you can only do 1% more each day.

Feeling the Monday blues? You aren't alone this !

But it doesn't mean you need to stay this way. Despite today being marked the most depressing day of the year, there are a number of ways to turn it around.

Here are some ways to reduce the effects of Blue Monday:

📵 Switch off your phone, even for an hour
🚶Take a walk
🫂 Meet up with friends
🧘Try mindfulness, you can start with guided visualisations
🏊 Rebuild your fitness routine

Growing a small business can be tough, especially when you don't know where to start with growing your customer base from nothing. That's why I endorse using social media to get eyeballs on your business from just about anywhere... or you can just target your local town, whichever floats your boat.

Here are 3 ways you can use social media for your small business:

1. Share what you sell: let people know your business exists and how it's helpful.
2. Start a conversation: create a poll or ask a question that promotes discussion in your comment section.
3. Share updates: This can range from small wins to upcoming promotions.
