Merricks Farmhouse | Australia | 2021
[Michael Lumby Architecture / + Nielsen Jenkins / .jenkins]
This house is located on a spectacular 50-acre property with views over vineyards towards Philip Island and Western Port Bay and is conceived of as an abstraction of a typical Australian Farmhouse. While sitting on a prominent hilltop affords it the best views, it also means that the house is somewhat exposed to the coastal climate of the region.
Spread out over a single level, the program of the house is arranged to counter this, creating a large and sheltered courtyard garden in its center. This courtyard becomes the most important room in the house, acting as a reference and refuge from the expansive nature of the outlook, as well as an introspective focal point for the house once night falls. 271_Brutalist interior for a designer couple | Vigonza, Italy | 2025
[MIDE architetti / ]
In the heart of the Venetian outskirts, an existing building has been transformed into a bright and refined residence that expresses a contemporary way of living. Designed by MIDE architetti, the project stems from an act of subtraction and reinterpretation: reclaiming an anonymous structure by simplifying its volumes and opening new perspectives onto the surrounding landscape.Text description by the architects | Visit www.theradicalproject.com to read more about the project.

Rue De L’eglise | Hauts-de-Seine, France | 2025
[Vincent Lavergne Architecture /
+ COVE Architectes / ]
This project involved the transformation and extension of a 1970s office building in Hauts-de-Seine, near Paris.
This project stemmed from a threefold ambition: to reclaim this neglected space, to reconcile the building with its residential context, and to bring it up to contemporary standards of performance and comfort.Text description by the architects | Visit www.theradicalproject.com to read more about the project.

Cal Totxo | Barcelona, Spain | 2023
[Cierto Estudio / ]
Cal Totxo is a modernist residence located at the foot of the Collserola Natural Park, enjoying fantastic views and good solar orientation on its main facade. The original state of the apartment had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small isolated kitchen, an interior space without ventilation or natural light, and a couple of very narrow and less significant hallways.
The project reorganizes the layout of the residence by proposing an uneven grid through which one can circulate between spaces, avoiding the presence of corridors. Text description by the architects | Visit www.theradicalproject.com to read more about the project.

Ataraxia | Querétaro, Mexico | 2024
[MEM Arquitectos / ]
For Greek philosophy, "Ataraxia" is synonymous with imperturbability. The vital objective of the Greeks was to achieve a state of mind that allowed them to live calmly, and thus they discarded any negative feelings that worried them and kept them from that spiritual goal.
Ataraxia seeks tranquility and inner serenity, peace of mind. The residence is located in Querétaro, Mexico, and has 450m2 of construction distributed over 2 levels. Text description by the architects | Visit www.theradicalproject.com to read more about the project.

Monte Everest Apartments | Aguascalientes, Mexico | 2020
[CoA arquitectura / ]
The project consisted in a building with a ground floor and two upper levels in order to accommodate three apartments, a six-car parking lot and a roof garden.
The building is thought as a perforated box rested over an apparent concrete base which gives character to the carport and lateral setback. The rest of the volume is sand colored plaster that is emphasized with a jalcreto lattice to moderate the west sun in the façade which also has dry green steel window frames. Nadja Apartment | Athens, Greece | 2014
[Point Supreme / ]
Nadja consists of two apartments on subsequent floors that were renovated and connected with a stair in the middle.
The two levels are materialized as opposite spatial experiences. The lower level is a continuous, marine-like environment with big pieces of furniture anchoring the family’s communal activities like floating islands. Instead of the typical division of rooms for kitchen, dining, living and playing, spaces in Nadja are flexible and look towards each other. Residenza 3 Lune | Preonzo, Switzerland | 2025
[Alessandro Pagliuca Architecture Studio / ]
Located in the village of Preonzo in the Swiss Alps, Residenza 3 Lune explores the relationship between materiality, tectonic clarity and contemporary rural living. The project is conceived around a strong bi-material concept: a solid exposed reinforced concrete base supports a lightweight prefabricated timber volume realised in XLAM construction.
The architectural idea originates from the contrast between heaviness and lightness, permanence and warmth. Text description by the architects | Visit www.theradicalproject.com to read more about the project.

SHED 2.0 | Surat, India | 2020
[Studio ii]
Set in urban farmland - studios, workshops, shop, and other ancillary facilities for a designer mother-daughter duo was to be designed. With a farm on one side and a cowshed on the other - the site has a strong agrarian milieu. Taking a cue from this the project was conceived as an extension of this landscape and articulates a rather contemporary program with largely traditional spatial vocabulary. Meudon | Paris, France | 2026
[Billy Falola / ]
This family wanted to extend their existing house to provide each of their three children with a bedroom in the existing structure, while creating a separate master suite in the new addition.
The extension was built using wood, respecting the architecture and volume of the existing house. In contrast, thanks to its clean lines and simple materials, the extension echoes the profile of the existing house, integrating seamlessly without clashing with it.
