It’s been a while since I last introduced myself, so here goes. 👋🏻
Hi, I’m Jovana, but most of you here know me as Yovy. 🙋🏻♀️
I grew up in a small town, in a home filled with movies. My parents ran a video rental shop back in the day (yes, VHS tapes, movie posters, the whole magic ✨). That’s where my love for English began, rewinding the same films over and over, listening, repeating, writing down phrases, falling in love with the rhythm of the language long before I ever studied it formally.
That love shaped everything. It took me from my little hometown to exploring the world as a flight attendant, to teaching English for more than 10 years, and later building a career in marketing.
But no matter what I did (teacher, cabin crew, marketing manager) English was always my anchor. It opened doors, gave me freedom, and showed me how powerful it is to connect through language. 🌍✨
Today, I work as a Brand Marketing Assistant for a UK nursery group while preparing for my biggest dream yet: launching my own English school. I’m currently part of a mentorship programme for language schools, and I’m creating a space where learners can grow without pressure, a community where English feels natural, not forced.
That’s what Yovy’s English Club is about: not “just studying English,” but living it. Not chasing perfection, but enjoying the journey. ✈️
Because if a small-town girl could turn English into her ticket to the world, so can you. 💛
