God’s Order Of Doing Things

📖Let all things be done decently and in order.(1 Corinthians 14:40).

Just as your school has some rules and regulations to guide how you dress, speak, and act; so also does God’s children. We have rules given to us by the Lord, and we’re expected to serve and worship Him according to His instructions and order.

A good example is found in Genesis 4:3-7, where two brothers, Cain and Abel, brought offerings to God. Abel gave his offering in obedience to God and with the right attitude, and God accepted it. But Cain did things his own way, ignoring God’s instructions; and his offering was rejected. This shows us that it’s not just about doing something for God, but about doing it the way He wants us to.

So, when you serve in church; whether singing, giving an offering, or helping, do it with the right attitude. Always ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. He’ll show you how to serve in a way that pleases God.

THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME
(Using His Name To Command Results)

TO THE BIBLE - John 14:13-14 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

LET’S TALK⏩
When you study the words of the Master in the scripture above, you’ll realise that He was referring to using His Name with authority and doing great works in His Name. He was emphasising the power and authority vested in His Name, making it clear to us that this authority is effective in bringing about any desired result. Hallelujah!

Let’s examine those words a bit more: First, He said, “If you shall ask anything in my name....” To ask here means to demand something. The Lord Jesus was referring to situations where you demand that something should happen in His Name. At such moments, He says, “I will cause it to happen.” What an assurance! This is a demonstration of the authority we have in His Name.

An example of this can be found in Acts chapter 3, where Peter and John encountered a man who had been crippled from birth. Peter simply used the Name of Jesus with the understanding of the authority that it wields. He understood what Jesus meant when He said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do...” (John 14:13). As a result, Peter demanded healing for the man who was crippled from birth. (Acts 3:7-8). This is precisely what Jesus was talking about—using His Name with authority.

Recall what He said in John 10:25, “...I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.” He commissioned us to do the same in His Name. We have the authority to speak to anything in His Name and have a miracle. You can speak to broken bones, blind eyes, and every challenging situation in His Name, and there’ll be a change. Glory to God!

When you speak in His Name, He’s present with divine power to ensure that your words come to pass. He guarantees the results. This is the authority we’ve been given; it’s power beyond this world, power to change circumstances in His Name. Hallelujah!

🔊Pray
Dear Father, thank you for the authority in the Name of Jesus. As I speak and act in His Name, every situation aligns with your will. Sickness, disease, poverty and every contrary condition bow to the Name of Jesus. I walk in this authority, manifesting your power in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL ~ PASTOR CHRIS

FOCUS ON THE WORD

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24TH, 2025

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Genesis 1:1-3).

If you want to see supernatural things happen in your life, focus on the Word. The Word of God created the whole world and the entire universe. God manifests Himself in different ways and one of those extraordinary ways is the Word. He manifests Himself in and through the Word. Where the Word of God is, God is.

The Word of God is not like the word of a man; the Word of God is life. The Word of God is power. The Word of God is light. The Word of God is truth. The Word of God is God. If you centre your mind on the Word, you're centring your mind on God. Isaiah 26:3 says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

How do you stay or keep your mind on Him? It’s by staying your mind on His Word, meditating on the Word. It doesn’t matter what you face in life; let God be all you see. That means see the Word; have the Word on your mind. When you have the Word of God on your mind, you're in for the supernatural. The Word is where the supernatural power of God is.

It’s the reason the Holy Spirit never does anything without the Word. In Genesis 1, the Bible says in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. But the earth was without form, and darkness covered the face of the deep. Then it says, the Spirit of God moved over the face of the waters but nothing changed. The darkness was still there, the chaos was still there, until the Word was given.

The Bible says, “And God said, let there be light, and light became” (Genesis 1:3). The Spirit of God caused the light to come into being only after God spoke. It shows the power and importance of God’s Word. You must focus on the Word. Speak it forth. Until the Word is given, the Spirit of God does nothing. So, to experience great things in your life as an individual and live transcendently as the Lord has ordained for you, live by the Word of God.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the power and integrity of your Word. I centre my heart and mind on the Word, and I’m full of peace. Your Word produces in me what it talks about; I see only possibilities, walk in excellence, victory and dominion, because your Word is my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

GOOD SUCCESS IS GOD'S PLAN FOR YOU

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)

God’s plan for you is to have good success and to excel in all you do. He wants you to excel in your schoolwork, your prayers, your friendships, and more!

Today’s memory verse says, “…For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8). This shows that true success comes from meditating on God’s Word.

When you keep His Word in your heart and speak it consistently, it’ll help you make wise choices, stay focused, do things with excellence, and speak success over your day. Good success means thriving in every area of life; according to God’s purpose.

So, make God’s Word your daily meditation. Believe it, speak it, act on it, and watch your life reflect the success that only God can give!

📖SCRIPTURE READING
1 Timothy 4:15

LET'S PRAY
Thank you, precious Father, for giving me your Word to live by. I make my way prosperous and have good success in all I do because your Word is in my heart, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
