🔥 ‘Wolf Moon’ lunar eclipse delights skygazers across the UK 🔥

were treated to stunning sights last night as the first full moon of 2020 coincided with a lunar eclipse.

In a phenomenon known as the ‘wolf ’, those gazing up into the sky were privy to something called a penumbral lunar eclipse, when the moon passes through the earth’s shadow.

Impressive images show the wolf moon moving over Glastonbury Tor in Somerset, St Mary’s Lighthouse at Whitley Bay in and Menwith Hill near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, among other places.

For those who managed to catch it, the spectacle began at 5pm and lasted until 9pm in the .

Three citizens are among 176 people killed in a plane crash in Tehran, Iran. The Ukraine Boeing 737 plane had taken off from Imam Khomeini Airport early this morning, before crashing around two minutes after.

Everyone on the flight was killed, including 167 passengers and nine members of crew. Foreign Minister confirmed that three had been on-board.

Schools have been put on lockdown after a chemical spill sparked a major emergency response in Essex.

An industrial estate was forced to shut on Monday night after the chemicals leaked from the unit in West Thurrock, causing a potentially dangerous acid cloud.
