This was my last summer market of the year a what a fabulous sunny day full of amazing talented makers.
I enjoyed meeting all my little creatives they never fail to amaze me and fill the gazebo up with 100% can do energy.

Meet The Maker

Hello my name is Samantha. I'm a local mum of two, a creative crafter designing UNIQUE fabric cards that can be brought for birthdays, to say congratulations, celebrate friendships,or even to capture those moments of memories to treasure that single moment. The cards are designed for keepsakes to be reused such as, framed and hanged on the wall, place in one's scrap book, be a bookmarker or pack away in memory box to be gifted or passed down to a loved one.

My cards are made from a variety of high quality fabric scraps such as cottons, linens, African prints, silks and velvets that I have collected over the years from street markets, my dressmaking and craft friends and my dear aunt a designer /teacher and my inspiration. My love from fabrics stems back to my childhood seeing my mother at her sewing machine making my school bags, curtains and cushions for the home and the odd occasion a dress or skirt for me. I would watch her loving laying the fabrics out on the floor then start cutting with a large pair of shears concentrating as she guides the shears through the fabric. Scraps of fabrics piling up and me playing with them copying her.

These memorable moments and having a beautiful daughter have both inspired me to design handmade cards using my collection of fabric scraps as the centre of the design.
