What you carry, you become. Put it down — you’ve already won.
Not giving a 🖕🏻 can be more powerful than revenge.
Sometimes you have to go back, and back, and fu***ng back again… until you finally reach the point where you leave, and you realise you don’t even want to go back anymore.
And I’m not talking about a man.
I’m talking about toxic family.
For years I was confused about what caused my BPD because, in my head, it couldn’t have been my parents.
My dad worked HARD most of his life. My mum worked full-time in a shop. They did everything they could with what they had, they tried their absolute best, and I love them endlessly for that.
So I kept thinking… if it wasn’t them, then who?
And honestly, I’m still figuring that out.
But eventually I had to face something I had spent years avoiding.
It wasn’t my parents.
There are two people who know exactly who they are. They know what they did. And I don’t need to name them, expose them or drag their names through the fu***ng mud.
They can carry on doing whatever it is they’re doing — just far, far away from me.
Because I’m done going back.
People have been telling me for a long time to start telling my stories. To speak my truth. To stop carrying everything silently.
And today, I decided there is no more going back.
And you know what?
I’m actually okay with that.
Life has been absolutely crazyyyyy. And the thought of sitting in front of a therapist and opening all of this up genuinely terrifies me.
But maybe speaking about it — little by little, in my own words, in my own time — will finally take some of the weight off my shoulders and out of my chest.
Maybe I’ll finally be able to fu***ng move forward.
Not forget.
Not forgive everything.
Not pretend it didn’t happen.
Just move forward.
And yes… I WILL be busting this bag out every single time it goes with the outfit 😂👛
My first real bag. Let me have my moment. 😂
