I thought motherhood was supposed to complete me… but instead, I felt like I’d lost myself.

I loved my children deeply, but I no longer recognised the woman I was. My spark had dimmed, my dreams were buried under routines and guilt, and I craved something just for me.

Starting this business wasn’t about money, it was about finding me again. Bit by bit, I rebuilt my confidence, found my purpose, and started dreaming bigger than ever. And in doing that, I became a happier, more present mum 💛

But first… imagine saying no.

No to the dreams that keep tugging at your heart.

No to the life you know deep down you’re meant for.

No to the version of you who wakes up excited, fulfilled, and proud of the life she’s built.

Because here’s the truth that’s hard to hear…

If nothing changes, nothing changes.

The routine that drains you today will still be there in 20, 30, even 40 years’ time. The same mornings, the same worries, the same feeling of “surely there’s more to life than this.”

I used to think that one day, things would magically fall into place. That I’d feel ready… that the fear would disappear. But that day never came until I decided to stop waiting and start building the life I deserved.

Change doesn’t happen by daydreaming.

It happens the moment you choose to say yes, even if you’re scared, even if you don’t have it all figured out, even if it means stepping into the unknown.

And when you do that’s when everything shifts ✨

How could I expect my children to live by the words I preached if I wasn’t even living by them myself?

If I could change one thing about my younger self, it would be the stories I told myself… the ones filled with self-doubt, the lack of self-love, the way I shrank myself down to fit into what I thought was the “normal” way to live.

✅ Go to school.
✅ Go to university.
✅ Get the job.
✅ Get married.
✅ Buy the house.
✅ Have the babies.

I did all of that! I followed the path society told me would lead to happiness. But then what?

Work until retirement?
Burnt out in my 30’s… what on earth would I feel like at 68?

That’s when I realised I wanted more. I was bored of the life I was on autopilot living. I didn’t want to just survive motherhood, I wanted to thrive in it.

I didn’t want my children to see me settling for “OK.”

I wanted more, for them and for me.

And that’s exactly what choosing a different path is.

It’s refusing to settle for a life that doesn’t light you up.

It’s OK to want more. In fact, it’s powerful. And it’s even more powerful to never stop until that life you dream of becomes your reality.
