This whole journey has been incredibly exhausting, difficult and stressful. We always just show our best bits online but the fringe is a very very hard place to be. Racism, sexism transphobia is still very rife to this day and the industry has an incredibly long way to go. My second preview in, I cried at the ending of my show when talking about the struggle of being an Asian working class performer, it was extremely cathartic and a good release. From then on I realise the reasons why I’m doing all of this . This show is for everyone, but is also for women, POC and the g**s and I’ve notice more and more qu**rs , people of colour, Asians especially are attending show and it literally lifts my heart so much.
