🦞🦀🍤 Triple Seafood Bisque Recipe
Serves: 4

Cook Time: 35–40 mins
⭐ Ingredients
# Seafood
• 200g cooked lobster meat, chopped
• 150g cooked crab meat (white or mixed)
• 200g shrimp, peeled & deveined
# Base
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 medium onion, finely chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 stick celery, finely chopped
• 1 small carrot, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp tomato paste
• 3 tbsp plain flour
• 120ml white wine (optional but recommended)
• 750ml seafood or fish stock (or chicken stock if needed)
# Seasoning & Cream
• 1 bay leaf
• ½ tsp paprika
• ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
• Salt & black pepper to taste
• 200ml double cream
• Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
🍲 Instructions
1. Cook the shrimp
• In a pan, melt a little butter.
• Add shrimp, cook 2–3 minutes until pink.
• Remove and set aside. (You’ll add them back later.)
2. Build the flavour base
• Heat butter + olive oil in a pot.
• Sauté onion, celery, carrot for 5 minutes until soft.
• Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
• Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute to caramelise.
3. Thicken
• Sprinkle the flour over the veggies.
• Stir for 1 minute to form a roux.
4. Add wine & stock
• Pour in the white wine and whisk to remove lumps.
• Add seafood stock, bay leaf, paprika, cayenne, salt & pepper.
• Simmer 15 minutes.
5. Blend
• Remove bay leaf.
• Blend the soup using a hand blender until smooth and silky.
6. Add the seafood
• Stir in lobster, crab, and cooked shrimp.
• Add cream and simmer gently 5 minutes.
• Taste and adjust seasoning.
🌿 Garnish & Serve
Serve hot with:
• Fresh parsley/chives
• A swirl of cream
• Crusty bread or garlic butter baguette
⭐ Bonus Tip
For extra luxury, add 1 tsp cognac or brandy when adding the cream.
