There’s a lot to digest in this Old Testament book. And we know that as we begin a conversation on it, many more questions rather than answers are likely to arise. But this is what we also know: if it’s in Scripture, it’s for our good. Let’s not pick and choose what we think God wants to tell us. Let’s seek to hear his voice in every book of the Bible, praying for the Spirit to open our eyes as we read it.

Loath Leviticus?!

You’re definitely not alone.

You start a Bible reading plan feeling full of enthusiasm. Genesis is fascinating, Exodus is full of action… and then you get to Leviticus.

Sacrifices. Priests. Purity laws. Food laws. Rules about things you’ve never even thought about.

And suddenly you’re wondering, **“Why is this even in the Bible?”**

It’s easy to skip it. It feels confusing, unfamiliar and, if we’re honest, a little bit boring.

But what if there’s much more to Leviticus than meets the eye?

This book has so much to teach us about God’s holiness, our sin, sacrifice, forgiveness and what it means for a holy God to live among his people.

Most of us approach Leviticus with one thought: "This is going to be hard."

But what if we've completely misunderstood this book?

Leviticus isn't primarily about strange laws or endless sacrifices.

It's about a holy God making a way for sinful people to draw near.
It's the book that helps us understand the cross, reveals God's heart, deepens our love for others, and shows us His extraordinary pursuit of His people.

Don't skip it.

The treasures hidden in Leviticus are worth digging for.

We're beginning a journey through this incredible Old Testament book, and I'd love for you to come along.

We can't believe August is over and summer has very much gone. It was a joy to see each other in the UK at the start of August.

Here are some Summer snippets from the team 📸

The beach is a common denominator 🏖️

Felicity headed to Australia and was back at the Blue Mountains

Then headed to the beautiful Bondi beach

Helen and her family went to the stunning Isle of Mull

And then to Big Church Festival

Sarah and her family climbed hills in the Lake District

It was wet!

But worth it for the views

Felicity also had family to stay

They had a uni student Ben staying with them too, who quickly became the 5th member of the Carswell family

Also another highlight was meeting with the very best of friends in the UK

Hayley and the family went to Dawlish in Devon

Also would be rude not to have visited Diggerland

Then back to Essex to see grandparents and eat fish and chips!
