Ridley Scott assembles an all star cast around Jacob Elordi and his dog Jasper in The Dog Stars - very much a contender for Blockbuster Bowser.
Elordi’s character, Hig, has a loyal canine companion named Jasper. In the original Peter Heller novel, the dog is an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler), but the movie adaptation changed the dog’s breed to a Belgian Malinois. 🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

The PalmDogManitarian award 2026 went to super stylist Brad Goreski who was in Cannes styling the powerhouse looks of Demi Moore but found time to turn up at the Palm Dog to collect his gong.
Not only is Brad a creator of stunning looks champions animal welfare. The proud dog dad of Theo is a vocal supporter of the Adopt Don’t Shop campaign which encourages people to choose a rescue dog as their next 4 legged friend.
Brad can now show off his PalmDogManitarian award to Demi, who scooped the same award in 2024 for trailblazing dog friendliness with her loveable pooch Pilaf. 🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

Marjane Satrapi was a joyous woman who had great talent matched by by boundless joie de vivre . This shone through in her 2007 Palm Dog winner, Perpoline.
This animated gem tells the story of Yuki, the animated terrier-like pet which made history as the first animated canine to win the prestigious Palm Dog Award at the Cannes Film Festival. Based on director Marjane Satrapi’s real-life pet, Yuki won over judges for her “wide-eyed wonder” Shine on Marjane. 🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
