Unbelievably pumped to be warming up for none other than the mighty who will be performing a one-off live show at the legendary in just under 2 week’s time. A multi-instrumentalist, all round wizard, pioneer and bastion of the early electro scene, this man really needs no introduction. We have been massive fans of his work for years, with his track ‘Poison Lips’ providing much sonic inspiration for our productions, so it is both an honour and privilege to be supporting him now. Huge thanks to for the opportunity – we are incredibly grateful for your support. We are deep in the cockpit prepping a bespoke dark electro chug set especially for the occasion and can’t wait to catapult dancefloor to stratospheric levels. Beyond The Struttopshere is a sonic collaboration between two London-based hombres channelling their considerable musical production experience and boundless love of cosmic chugging dark disco. Their debut EP ‘New Frontier’ was released on Gouranga Music in late 2020, and featured two originals with remixes from heavyweights of the scene: James Rod, M***i and K-Effect. It found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, appeared on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series and propelled the duo onto newfound heights. Their second EP ‘Celestial Drift’ followed on Mélopée Records, in early 2021, and comprised two stellar tunes with remix support from Mexican dark disco wizard Roliva. The pair subsequently featured on the French imprint’s VA compilation with their gritty ZZ Top inspired ‘Pontiac Firebird’ and later put out a remix on Ilya Santana’s cosmic disco label Astrolead Recordings. They have been deep in the studio working on new material since, with live guitar now a mainstay of their productions. Their trademark sound combines resonant chugging basslines with reverbed guitar riffs, syncopated arpeggiators, cosmic synth work, Italo drum fills and psychedelic 303 sequences.
