Mass thumbprinting instead of mass voting?

If the video circulating from today’s Ebonyi Local Government election accurately reflects what is happening, then Nigerians have every reason to ask serious questions about the credibility of the process.

People are expected to come out, exercise their franchise and freely choose their leaders. When voter turnout is low, the answer cannot be to manufacture participation or simply produce figures that nobody can independently verify.

We cannot keep applauding ourselves while democratic institutions are weakened.

From sole-candidate arrangements to questionable electoral practices, democracy bleeds when citizens are denied a genuine choice.

Let the authorities answer the questions.
Let the ballots speak.
Let the results reflect the people who actually voted.

No violence. No intimidation. No propaganda. Just credible elections and the right of Ebonyians to choose their leaders. 🇳🇬

EBONYI STATE GOVERNMENT ELECTION: WHAT ARE WE REALLY DOING? 🇳🇬

To be honest, from what I have seen on the ground, I struggle to see a genuinely competitive contest in tomorrow’s local government election.

The opposition appears poorly prepared, while the outcome seems to have been heavily tilted in favour of the ruling structure long before voters get to the polling units.

If the result is already predictable, then we have to ask a serious question:

Why spend public resources staging an election when the people are not being given a genuinely competitive choice?

An election should not simply be about printing ballot papers and announcing winners. It should be about real competition, credible candidates, voter confidence and the freedom of the people to choose.

This is not an attack on any individual. BECAUSE no level play ground is guaranteed for the opposition.

It is a question about the quality of our democracy in Ebonyi State.

Let the people speak.
Let every vote count.
Let the process be transparent.

Democracy is more than an election day—it is the freedom to have a real choice. 🇳🇬

SEN. KEN EZE: 2027 SHOULD BE ABOUT THE RECORD, NOT THE NOISE. 🇳🇬 Sen Ken Eze Pikin Kizito Nwankwo Kizito Nwankwo

Politics is not won by aggression, insults, intimidation or loud supporters. It is won by performance, credibility and the confidence of the people.

So, before anyone starts asking constituents to support another mandate, let Sen. Ken Eze answer some simple questions:

What has he delivered for the people?
What major legislative achievements can constituents point to?
What has he done for roads, education, healthcare and youth empowerment?
How has he attracted meaningful development to the communities he represents?
What is his employment and economic empowerment record?
How accessible has he been to ordinary constituents?
And most importantly, what is the measurable scorecard that justifies another mandate?

Nobody should be afraid to ask these questions.

If the record is strong, show us the evidence.
If the record is weak, the people have every right to demand better.

2027 should not be about personalities, godfathers or political noise.

Let the candidates present their records. Let the people compare. Let the ballot decide. 🇳🇬

No violence. No insults. No intimidation. Just facts, accountability and the people’s mandate.

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER “FAKE AGENCY” STORY? 🇳🇬🤦🏽‍♂️

If reports of the arrest of George Buchi Nwabueze and the suspension of three Permanent Secretaries following an ICPC investigation are correct, Nigerians have every right to ask:

How did these things operate under the watch of government for so long?

And when 2027 comes, we are expected to simply shout “4+4” without asking for a proper scorecard?

No. Politics should not be about slogans, loyalty or blind support.

Show Nigerians the results. Show us what worked. Show us what failed. Show us who was held accountable.

Three years is enough time to ask serious questions.

Nigeria deserves governance that can withstand scrutiny. 🇳🇬
