This hasn’t been my type of work, and I find the process kinda boring to be honest, while others have done the ground work and walls, I installed the roof timbers.
We had roofers installed the rubber roofing material but they messed up, so I will have to fix, photos of that part will be updated another day

So yesterday (Friday) the steels were fully up, bricks were meant to be filled in between and slight adjustments to the steel, but someone (Tyrese) sorry mate 😂 decided to adjust the heat pump resulting in it falling off the mounting bracket, so resulting in everyone stopping doing what they were doing and holding up the unit till we had to adjust and remount everything again.

That’s me pointing out the adjustments to be done.

The Timber isn’t holding up the house, that is holding up the old window beam (window lintel)
And that’s not an Air Conditioner on the wall that’s a Heat Pump.
Steels will be going in at the end of the week.
In the meantime time it’s very cold -1 to -5c during the night and -3 to 3c during the day.

Personally, I can never understand why in the UK we start these type of projects in the winter and come the summer we are working inside.
During the winter, everyone is complaining that it’s too cold well during the summer everyone wants to be outside.

Another video doorbell install and fencing replacement, had to trim down the one on the left from 6ft to 4ft 8in.
Old existing post was small in the centre and had a gap between the two sides of the fence, so a infill was needed.

A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.

Being a Jack of all trades is actually GREAT,
my mine work is Electrical,

My side trades are…
Plumbing, Heating, Gas Boiler repairs, Underfloor Heating, Heat Pumps,
Air Conditioning, Roofing, Construction,
Wrap around house insulation internal and external, loft insulation,
Bathroom fully refurbishment installation, Kitchen fully refurbishment and installation, laminate flooring, vinyl flooring and carpentry.
There is probably some more.

So if someone calls you a Jack of all trades
Feel proud you know a lot more than the person who only knows one trade, as the saying says

A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.

Floor to skirting had gap of 20mm to 35mm
Needed roughly 47/50mm high timber / 10mm depth.
Ended up using PVC window trim, great for stuff like this.
