A fave London neighbourhood just a few minutes away from Borough Market 🤍

Bermondsey is a place I’ll happily revisit time and time again. Home to wonderful weekend markets, the iconic Bermondsey B**r Mile, and a gorgeous local high street — I’d happily opt for a stroll around here over the lunchtime rush at Borough Market any day.

My guide to a day in and around Bermondsey, Bankside, and the often-overlooked streets around Borough is up where all the vlogs are now.

Where to visit in Japan this autumn? 🍂

Well first of all, if you have tickets booked to Japan this autumn, I am exceptionally jealous of you. But besides that, I hope you find some time to detour from the typical golden route, and here are five places that I think you might love:

→ Togakushi Shrine, a series of breathtaking shrines set at the foot of Mount Togakushi
→ Shibu Onsen, a tiny onsen town in Nagano that feels beautifully suspended in old Japan
→ Kanazawa, home to the incredible Kenroku-en Garden
→ Gokayama and Shirakawa-go, where you’ll find scenes of traditional farmhouses with thatched roofs
→ Takayama, filled with gorgeous craft stores and sake breweries

If you want every detail from my three-week Japan trip, including logistics, recommendations, and honest reviews — you’ll find that all in my dedicated guides over on the Sonder Editions newsletter ✉️

Who is heading to London this Christmas? 🎄

Personally, I’m counting down the days until December, one of my favourite seasons here ❤️

If you’re planning a festive trip, take a look at my London Autumn/Winter Guide (in bio — AD own product)

I’ve spent the past few years working my way through London’s Christmas bucket list, and I update the guide every year with what’s new — from festive markets and light trails to cosy cafés and my local favourites. It’s designed for visits across autumn and winter, with a special section for all things Christmas.

As always with my London guides, you also get access to my London Foodie Map, regularly updated by me 🗺️

What’s a sleeper train from London to Edinburgh really like? 🚂 press invite

The Caledonian Sleeper runs across Scotland, so depending on your route you can wake up to some incredible views of the countryside.

I think it’s a brilliant option if you’re short on time and want to make the most of overnight travel, or if you simply want it as part of the Scottish experience.

We stayed in a club twin room which, while compact, was perfectly comfortable. All of our luggage fit neatly under the bed, there’s an en suite bathroom, and lots of thoughtful Scottish touches throughout the journey.

The bedding is also very comfortable — I know sleeping on a train can be hit or miss, but for my very first sleeper train I actually had a really decent night of sleep 😴

With the club room you also get access to the club car for dinner and breakfast, where you can enjoy things like Scottish cheese platters or a full Scottish breakfast in the morning.

Truly a bucket list travel experience and such a joy to finally check it off my list. Thank you for having me 💙

What’s it like dining at one of the best restaurants in the UK? 🌱 press invite

Tucked away in the sleepy village of Cartmel is L’Enclume, a three Michelin-starred restaurant serving some of Britain’s most exciting farm-to-table dining.

Fifteen courses that work with the seasons, with much of the produce grown on their farm just up the road. Incredibly technical and imaginative plates that remain approachable and, most importantly, utterly delicious.

Dining at L’Enclume is a once-in-a-lifetime experience — not because of the prestige, but because you get to witness world-class talent doing what they do best in this tiny, unassuming corner of England.

What to know when visiting Japan in autumn? 🍂

→ Foliage forecasts differ depending on the region and climate, check the official foliage forecast map for specific dates.

→ It’s not just about the fiery red and orange leaves of the Japanese Maple; I also loved seeing the yellow Ginkgo trees dotted around Tokyo.

→ In Kyoto, don’t just visit Kiyomizu-dera for autumn leaves. Seek out smaller temples for a more serene experience, like the night illuminations at Eikandō Temple.
