That dream of a wooden cabin we all share? My little cabin is already taking shape. Construction began in April using scrap timber cleared from the site; the footprint measures 3m x 4m, with space left for future expansion. The cabin serves basic needs like tool storage, temporary shelter, and meal preparation. The floor is raised on wooden planks for moisture protection, and I may add an entryway and a rainwater harvesting system later. Power is supplied by a combination of solar panels and portable power stations.

An Underground Tree-Stump Cabin

I dug out a tiny home beneath an old tree stump. Outside, there was cold mist, a fine drizzle, and sodden fallen leaves; yet the moment the hatch closed, the underground space held only a soft, warm glow, a wooden bowl, and a bed of dry leaves where I could sleep in peace. It turns out that a place where one truly feels at ease doesn't need to be seen by everyone. It simply needs to be warm enough—warm enough to shelter me from the wind and rain of the night.
