The 2023 Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally Edition is a Dakar-inspired adventure motorcycle built around Yamaha’s proven 689cc CP2 parallel-twin engine, producing 74.8 PS and 69 Nm of torque. It uses a steel double-cradle frame with 210 mm of front suspension travel, 200 mm at the rear, 240 mm of ground clearance and 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, giving it the proportions and capability expected from a genuine off-road-focused adventure bike. The Rally Edition features Yamaha’s Heritage White and red colour scheme, inspired by the brand’s historic Dakar racing machines, along with dedicated Rally equipment and styling. For 2023, Yamaha added a new 5-inch colour TFT display with two display themes, smartphone connectivity through the MyRide app, three-mode switchable ABS, LED indicators, a USB socket and pre-wiring for a quickshifter. With a 16-litre fuel tank, 895 mm seat height and a wet weight of 203 kg, the Ténéré 700 Rally Edition combines long-distance adventure capability with a relatively simple, rugged design focused on both road and off-road riding. Adventure bike. City security. 🔐🏍️ EasyBlock_Official

Just fitted the EasyBlock to the Ténéré 700 and I really like how simple the setup is. No bulky lock to carry around, no digging through the top box every time I stop. It stays fitted to the bike, ready when I need it.

Twist. Lock. Done. 🔑

A neat bit of extra security without ruining the look of the T7.

The Ténéré cockpit just got a serious upgrade. 👀🏍️ CHIGEE GLOBAL Chigee United Kingdom

Been getting familiar with the CHIGEE AIO-6 MAX LTE and there’s a lot more to it than just Apple CarPlay.

Navigation, cameras, OBD bike data, riding information, lean angle, tyre pressures, engine temperature and plenty more, all sitting right in front of you.

Still exploring everything it can do, but so far this feels like a proper upgrade to the T7.

Which screen would you use the most?

Main riding dashboard
Everything you need at a glance.
Speed, trip mileage, tyre pressures, GPS heading, sunset time and more, all displayed on one clean riding dashboard. Exactly the sort of information I want without digging through menus.

Lean angle / riding data
Now it gets interesting 👀
Real-time lean angle alongside speed, tyre pressures, engine temperature and battery voltage. A nice way of seeing what the bike is actually doing while you ride.

Extended riding dashboard
More data, same screen.
RPM, speed, tyre pressures, altitude, sunset time, lean angle, riding distance and battery voltage. You can customise the information you want in front of you depending on the ride.

OBD data
This is where the AIO-6 goes beyond just being a navigation screen.
OBD data gives you access to information directly from the bike, including RPM, intake air temperature, engine temperature, battery voltage, throttle data and more. Proper bike data on the dash. 🔧

Apple CarPlay
And when you just want the familiar stuff… Apple CarPlay. 🍎🏍️
Maps, music, calls, messages and podcasts without having to mount your phone on the handlebars. For everyday riding, this is probably the screen I’ll use the most.

Fuel prices keep climbing, but are we still getting enough smiles per mile? ⛽🏍️

Every fill-up hurts a little more, but the second the road opens up and the helmet goes on, somehow it still feels worth it.

Maybe the real question isn’t miles per gallon anymore… it’s how many smiles did that tank buy you? 😎

The Yamaha R9 exists because the supersport world has changed. 🏍️🔥 Instead of chasing 200hp and making something almost too extreme for the road, Yamaha took the brilliant 890cc CP3 triple and wrapped it in proper R-series DNA. The result sits perfectly between the R7 and R1, with loads of mid-range punch, sharp handling, modern electronics and enough performance to be seriously quick on track while still being usable on the road. For a lot of riders, this might actually be the sweet spot of the modern supersport era.

600 miles into riding with the Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross AT41s and I’m seriously impressed smoke💨

I’ve now put them through plenty of dry and wet tarmac, fast A-roads, everyday riding and even the occasional green lane… but more on that little adventure another day 👀

So far, the AT41s have been phenomenal. Loads of confidence in the dry, predictable and reassuring grip in the wet, and they feel incredibly planted when pushing through corners. For an adventure tyre that’s clearly designed with road performance in mind, they’ve also handled the lighter off-road sections far better than I expected.

Still plenty more miles and testing to come, but after the first 600 miles, these are proving to be a seriously capable all-round tyre.

More updates coming as the miles build. 🏍️
