Liblib Publishing What do we want? Who are we? Three friends with really high aspirations for kids’ books in Arabic! How you can be part of the fun!

LibLib aims to be a world-class children’s colloquial Arabic publishing house, instilling a love of reading by providing inspiring, inclusive, accessible and diverse stories for Arabic speaking children everywhere. We believe in the power of books in strengthening bonds between us and children through the joys of our shared journeys that transport us to new worlds, and deepen our understanding of our own. We want every child to be able to experience this magic; the wonder that comes with opening the first page of a new book, and the anticipation that comes with turning the last page of a well-loved book. Nada Sabet: serial creative entrepreneur, theatre director extraordinaire, and arts development expert. Mariam Ali-Puttergill: expert editor, translator, writer and educator - also certified book addict and language nut. Muhab Wahby: aspiring board game designer, business intelligence analyst, and multicultural wizardry dialogue expert - also loving dad to a two-man demolition crew. We’re launching our first offering of children’s board books on Kickstarter in early 2022. If you want to see great children's books in spoken Arabic in bookshops and online stores everywhere, this is the time to back us! Last week, we had an amazing time diving into the world of ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses! 🌟✨ We explored what superpowers each of our visitors would have, from the Mushroom God to intricate river deities. It was incredible to see children imagining themselves as ancient gods and goddesses—some even performed monologues! 🧡

A huge thank you to all the wonderful parents and super creative kids who joined us at the Egypt Exploration Society for this special event, curated by the real-life goddess of . A special shoutout to all the volunteers who made everything seamless! 🌺

We’re thrilled to share that we are one of six organizations awarded grants for the second iteration of Beyond Literature Borders, a collaborative initiative funded by the British Council (britisharts ) and run by Speaking Volumes (Speaking Volumes ).

Thanks to this support, we’re partnering with Megawra | BEC to engage young people in and in discovering and exploring . Together, we’ll reflect and co-create through a vibrant cross-cultural literary exchange.

Join us for the fourth iteration of Small Press Fest, an annual fair celebrating independent publications, bringing together artist, zine-makers and publishers .
Meet the makers and explore a variety of publications, practices and voices at the intersection of art, writing and radical publishing.
Participants include: Alaa Satir, The Feminist Library, Liblib Publishing, Majazz Project, Khabar Keslan, Khidr Collective, Magam Books, Poetry Translation Centre, Practicing Empathy in Mirrors, Rand Hamdallah, Samsara Music, yasamin, WANAWAL and more TBC.
This year’s fair will include a special section dedicated to The Funambulist magazine, in celebration of its 10 year anniversary. You can browse through our display of their entire archive which is finding a new home at Mosaic Rooms.
