We had such a great time showcasing Bloom and last week at the .love.camden fest! We always create our mags with the goal to build community, so this was the perfect way to connect with our local community here in London and share what we have been creating!

🌸 b l o o m 🌸 we are so excited that our trainee Sarah’s mini-mag is out! She showcased it for the first time at the exhibition, UNEARTHED, last week. We are so proud of all of her hard work and know that her magazine will impact many!

Hiya, I’m Sarah, the latest student joining the Magazine Production Track! I’m a travel enthusiast, black coffee connoisseur, and lover of anything art. In my free time, I can be found tucked away in a café writing poetry or reading a good book. When I’m not on introvert mode, I like to spend my time exploring new cities (+ countries) with friends or singing at the top of my lungs at a concert.

When you’re involved in magazine production, you get to take part in many different art forms! This week our trainee Taylor has been creating an outfit with for a photoshoot for her mini mag. Her magazine will be released at the upcoming exhibition, REIGNITE. Stay tuned for more deets!

We had our MagPro student, Faith, create + write a piece on a word God had given her for this season! 🤍🔥

“For a while now, I feel like God has been telling me to be consistent, disciplined and to finish what I start. The fear of failure and long processes deterred me from seizing opportunities, developing new skills and gaining valuable experiences.

The photos and quotes I used are things I felt like I needed to hold onto and believe in during this season. The magazine, art and fashion industry is ruthless and cutthroat. God made me realise how crucial it is to build a good foundation in Him before I fully explore this industry, or else I would end up looking for my identity and validation in all the wrong places.

Some of these graphics (created by brilliant artists by the way.) are there to remind me who I am and who I am becoming so I don’t get bound to my past feelings of inadequacy.

So that’s where I am in this season. Gonna need a LOT of help from God but baby steps.”

Meet Faith, the newest member of the MagPro team. She is a part of the current Creatives DTS at YWAM London Radiant and will be with us for the next five months. Where are you from?
I’m Korean, Taiwanese but I grew up in Hong Kong.

What is your biggest fear?
Car accidents and aeroplane toilets (The flushing is so aggressive, they sound like they’ll suck the soul out of you.)

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy playing football and volleyball. I love reading books on human behaviour and why we’re all so funky and different. Vintage shopping and thrifting are super fun too, but picnics at the park are the best.

What’s your dream apartment?
A loft apartment with big north-facing windows and a green couch. It’d also be great if there was a disco ball hanging from the ceiling and stacks of books covering the walls. Plus a bubble tea machine somewhere.

What’s your favourite pasta shape?
Conchiglie or the bow tie pasta because they’re cute.
