🎬 GUERNSEY — FINAL CASTING CALL 🎬
This September, the team behind Under the Watchful Gaze will return to Guernsey to hold our final round of in-person auditions on the island.
Set during the German occupation of the Channel Islands, Under the Watchful Gaze is a British independent feature film exploring the fear, sacrifice, moral choices and quiet resistance experienced by islanders during one of the most extraordinary chapters of British wartime history.
We are currently seeking Guernsey-based performers for the following roles:
⭐ JULIE — Female, playing age 55
Well built, upper-middleclass. Polite, caring and warm. Presence is calm and reassuring.
⭐ GORDON — Male, playing age 59
A weather-beaten Guernsey local. Strong, stoic and deeply rooted in island life, carrying significant emotional weight as he faces impossible choices during the evacuation.
⭐ GERMAN AND BRITISH SOLDIERS — Male, playing ages early to mid-20s
Disciplined, efficient and loyal to the chain of command. Emotions are contained, with a strong and physically intimidating presence.
This will be our final Guernsey casting session, and we want to give island performers every opportunity to help us tell this important Guernsey story.
