Are you emotionally involved with your calculator? 🧮
Probably not. Yet as festival founder Hilary Lawson pointed out at HowTheLightGetsIn Festival last weekend, we regularly risk anthropomorphising our Geminis, Claudes, and GPTs by attaching human-like intelligence to what are essentially high-powered "word calculators."
That shift back toward human-scale connection is central to what we’re exploring in this week’s Camdenist newsletter; and what we're discussing tomorrow (Saturday, 26th Sept) on board the historic narrowboat Tarporley King’s Cross as part of the Vision Festival at Town Hall by Bottaccio.
We’ve also mapped out a packed weekend across the borough:
🚘 Classic Car Boot Sale returning to Granary Square & Coal Drops Yard, and Wayne Hemingway MBE will be talking about the changing face of high streets and markets at tomorrow's event.
🍎 Harvest NW1 opening its organic doors on Chalk Farm Road opposite the Roundhouse.
🍺 A sneak peek at the return of the Camden Road Arms
🎸 The Molotovs taking over the O2 Forum Kentish Town
🚴 + 30 free minutes of Lime Bike credit for our Camdenist Community members!
