Last season, Arsenal were third after Matchweek 7 with 17 points and a +9 goal difference, trailing behind Liverpool, who led the table with 18 points and a +11 goal difference.

Despite a strong start, Arsenal were still chasing the top two teams at that stage of the campaign.

This season, however, Arsenal are leading the Premier League after Matchweek 7 with 16 points and a +11 goal difference, ahead of Liverpool who sit just behind with 15 points and a +4 goal difference.

This shift highlights the growing consistency and positive impact Mikel Arteta has instilled in the squad. If this momentum continues, it’s very possible that Arsenal could secure their first Premier League title under the Spanish manager.
