Tutor Opportunity – GCSE Maths, English & Media (15 hours/week)

We are looking for dedicated GCSE-level tutors to support a student preparing for college, with a focus on:

5 hours GCSE Maths

5 hours GCSE English

5 hours Media Studies

This is a 15-hour per week contract, with sessions taking place during school hours.

About the Role:
You will be supporting a student who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and is currently receiving education other than at school (EOTAS). The role involves helping the student build confidence, subject knowledge, and independent learning skills in preparation for progressing to college to study Media.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Experience teaching GCSE Maths and English (Media experience highly desirable)

QTS or non-QTS considered – strong subject knowledge is essential

Experience working with students with SEN, ASD, ADHD, or Global Developmental Delay preferred

Patient, engaging, and adaptable teaching approach

Strong communication and organisational skills

💚 Show Your Support for an Amazing Community Challenge! 💚

In just two weeks, over 1,000 incredible students from Gravesend Grammar School, along with teachers, parents, and our amazing team, will be taking on a 13-mile walk — all to raise funds for two incredible local causes: GYG (Gravesham Youth Group) and the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund. 👟✨

The school’s goal is to raise £30,000, which could see both GYG and the Elliott Holmes Fund receive £10,000 each — money that would make a huge difference to the support we can continue to give to local young people.

We’re so proud of this generation of pupils — their energy, compassion, and determination are inspiring. They’re walking not just for fun, but for the future of young people in Gravesham — helping to provide vital mental health support, opportunities, and hope for those facing difficult times.
