I’ve seen the news of Cyrus Jirongo’s passing.
May his soul rest in peace.

As we mourn, history also matters.

And My people,
We can mourn the dead and still respect history.

Jirongo, under the YK92 era, is accused of printing money and misuse of it in the 1990s for campaigning for moi, which is widely blamed for inflation that rose fast & that still scars Kenyan families today. Money was splashed a lot during that time.

Many families then saw prices double & effects are still felt today

This is just a reminder that;
Choices made for power don’t die with the people who made them.
They live on in the price of bread, education, in our taxes, and in our struggles.

So let's mourn, yes.
But learn.

Because memory is not hatred
Memory is accountability.
Rest In Peace.

Former Lugari Member of Parliament, Hon. Cyrus Jirongo, has tragically passed away following a road accident that occurred early this morning at around 3:00 a.m.

Reports indicate that he was driving himself to his rural home in Lugari when his vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a Climax Coach bus along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway.

May he rest in peace.

New figures from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) reveal that almost half of Kenyan lenders are yet to fully embrace the updated risk-based loan pricing framework intended to guide how interest rates are determined.

According to CBK Governor’s briefing on Wednesday, December 10, 48% of banks still peg their loan pricing on the traditional Central Bank Rate (CBR). Only 18% have transitioned to the new benchmark — the Kenya Shilling Overnight Interbank Average (KESONIA) — while 34% are currently applying a hybrid of both CBR and KESONIA.

The disclosure comes three months after the regulator officially introduced the revised model to enhance fairness and transparency in credit pricing.

Despite the slow uptake, the Governor noted during the final Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the year that all 37 banks have already submitted their risk-based pricing frameworks for review by the CBK.

High Court Suspends Kenya–US Health Cooperation Deal Over Data Privacy Concerns

The High Court has halted the implementation of the recently signed Kenya–US Health Cooperation Agreement, issuing conservatory orders that freeze the deal until a petition challenging it is heard and determined.

In a ruling delivered by Justice Bahati Mwamuye, the court suspended the section of the pact that allows the transfer and handling of Kenyans’ health and personal data. The judge noted that the provisions raise serious legal and privacy concerns, warranting an immediate pause.

“A conservatory order is hereby issued suspending, staying, and restraining the respondents, whether by themselves, their agents, or assigns, from implementing or giving effect to the Health Cooperation Framework,” Justice Mwamuye declared.

The suspension specifically targets clauses that provide for or facilitate the transfer, sharing, or dissemination of medical, epidemiological, or other sensitive health data between the two governments.

The agreement — valued at Ksh200 billion — was signed on December 4 in Washington, DC, by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a ceremony attended by President William Ruto.

The case was filed by the Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK), which argues that the data-sharing provision violates constitutional protections and could expose Kenyans’ medical information to misuse.

Justice Mwamuye directed that the matter be mentioned on February 12 before Justice Lawrence Mugambi for compliance and directions on the expedited hearing of the petition.

Passengers Stranded for Hours After Ena Coach Shuttle Breaks Down Near Kericho

Passengers travelling on an Ena Coach shuttle from Nairobi to Busia were left stranded for hours in freezing early-morning conditions after the vehicle broke down just before Kericho.

The shuttle, registration KDA 293W, reportedly stalled at around 4:00 a.m., leaving families — including young children — stuck in a forested area with no assistance. According to passengers, repeated calls to the company’s customer care line yielded no action, with staff only saying that “a vehicle is coming,” a promise that never materialised.

The situation worsened when the driver allegedly abandoned the passengers at the scene, leaving them without guidance or support.

“We’ve been here since 4 a.m. The cold is too much for the kids,” one of the stranded passengers said while appealing for intervention. “We are even asking for a partial refund so we can find our own means.”

By the time of filing this report, no recovery vehicle or mechanic had been dispatched to the location, and passengers remained stuck, frustrated, and exposed to harsh weather.

In 1996, the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri and Kieni West Sub county local community came together with other stakeholders to start a community water project called Mutitu Water Self Help Group.

This water project was to serve over 30,000 households within Laikipia, Nyeri and Nyandarua.

In 2009, Mutitu Water and Sanitation Company unlawfully took over the water project from the local community.

The matter went to court and MWASCO were found guilty of fraudulently and unlawfully taking over the project.

In November 2025, Nyeri High Court ordered the water company to wind up operations and refund over 200M collected since 2010 to the local community.

In response, the company, with the help of local police have vandalized the Kamiruri intake. They have destroyed water meters, damaged the water outlet and redirected the water back to the river.

That begs the question, "Is this really a country?"

What happened to obeying court orders?

The government is silent on this matter because they are complicit.

They are here to oppress Kenyans. They want to own and control our shared natural resources.

Remember that in Mombasa there was a protest last week over water scarcity.

The water company refused to open water valves for a month.

Kenyans we must wake up and take back our country from oppressors.

I was promised 30M by Ichung'wa to go on holiday and not support Riggy G on impeachment.

I took tea with Ruto told him Riggy Impeachment would cost him politically and he needed to be patient like Uhuru was with him, he told me Kenya is bigger than Mt.kenya.

At the end I decided to be mt. Kenya first.

In my recent attack, my car had 5 bullets, and my lead car had 3 bullets. It had been declared that someone was to die. I was rescued by the Murang'a people and hidden in a shamba.

Nevertheless, no intimidation will make us succumb.

CONFIRMED !!!!

Ruto’s failed regime through NIS has bought over half of the Kenya Vs Congo CHAN opening match tickets for the Sunday clash in a bid to stop or avoid the Wantam and Ruto Must Go chants

Right now, it is being distributed via messages through government supporters. About 10 buses have been booked from a Sacco in Kibera alone to drop the recruits.

Ruto is stitching the a**s to avoid diarrhoea.

I fully agree with CJ Maraga. William Ruto has placed his personal interest above that of the Kenyan nation.

Repurposing the entire statecraft to serve Ruto’s interests, stealing in the name of God, and killing the children of other people is part of Ruto’s destructive legacy!

8 people from Homabay who were arrested for carrying the body of Albert Ojwang to Mawego police station, after being released by a court in Homabay, they were re-arrested and transported to Nairobi, where they were presented before Mr. Koech and charged with Terrorism.

DC Lagat orders the arrest of Ojwang who is later killed by the police.

Onyango mourning his killed comrade is re-arrested by Kosgei, transported to Nairobi, where Murkomen orders they be charged with Terrorism before Magistrates Koech!

And our leaders from Homabay are saying nothing about this misuse of state power to intimidate our people.
