There seems to be a technical issue with this group I set up when the drug was not being manufactured for U.K. for a while . If anyone needs urgent advice only try leaving a post thanks

Please note update info

Neon Healthcare are NOT keeping a close eye on all stock leveks at various Alliance healthcare distribution depots

My pharmacist simply looked at his system to order drugs and it showed Nardil as RED out of stock not available so I sent a blazing leater to Stephen Harrison Neon Healthcare to call my pharmacist find out what Alliance depot had no stock

Please can you all contact Stephen Harrison by email :

Clearly state the name telephone number of your pharmacist and get him to call your pharmacist ASAP

Tell him in an email that if Neon Healthcare do NOT get on top of Alliance depot stocks across the entire U.K. you will contact myself by emailing me direct :

[email protected]

All I need is a brief sentence stating the name of pharmacy postcode and Telephone number and a screenshot of your nhs script .

I will then collate a file of all of the scripts not being fulfilled and send them to the press office of the MHRA and a few media contacts to start pressurising tabloids to write about how a drug company obtained U.K. license but simply cannot deliver the drug due to very poor administration on the distribution business side .

If Neon Healthcare simply cannot keep a close eye on Alliance depots stock levels then something must be seriously wrong here

I do know that EYRGEN Ireland are manufacturing the drug for Neon Healthcare and it’s is manufactured by Siegfried Pharma Switzerland

Andrew Lamb is my contact at Siegfried CH who is in charge of ordering the API and he is based here in the U.K.

Any problems with pharmacists simply email Stephen Harrison and pressurise him to call the pharmacist so he can sort out why the Alliance depot your pharmacist orders from is stocked with Nardil

Response from director of Neon healthcare U.K. after Hive Pharmscy U.K. simply could not get hold of stocks yet again and I wonder how transparent Neon are being as pharmacist being told that Neon are simply not able to acquire enough API to manufacture the drug

All U.K. Phenelzine Sulphate patients update !

Lupin pharma USA have ceased making Phenelzine Sulphate

That leaves Greenstone Pfizer the only manufacturer outside U.K.

I wrote today to an email to Lupin to try and get some clarification but heard just now from Canada support group run by Christine Bayens that Lupin have merged with Gavis so no more Nardil .

Will keep you all posted asap

I was informed by Andrew Lamb Director for sourcing API Siegfried CH . who supply Pfizer USA that any pharma company applying for new licence for Nardil takes 4/5 years !

This is not a fast process

I think Neon are being economical with the truth here !

Why not come clean and be transparent about the length of time it takes any pharma company to acquire a U.K. license?

I am a freelance journalist with connections to many pharma companies who manufacture Phenelzine Sulphate in Switzerland Germany USA .

There is no shortage of API but I have learnt from Andrew Lamb that any pharma like yourself would need to procure the catalogue for requesting API to make this drug 2 years in advance .

So let’s discuss the timeframe here

Neon will need to place order for acquiring API at least 2 years ahead of planned manufacture and that is not including the wait time for your company to agree with U.K. MHRSA DHSS to acquire a licence .

It will take Neon a couple of years from now to get all this in motion .

That is the transparent reality of how long drug licenses take to obtain here in the U.K.

So why not be transparent about this to patients here in U.K. ?

If any U.K. NHS patients on Nardil are having problems with their GP funding the unlicensed Phenelzine sulphate my advice is to see a private psychiatrist who prescribes the drug and get them to write to your GP

No private psychiatrist will place new patients on Nardil sadly this seems to be the case right now

It costs the U.K. nhs £300 per month for a maintenance dose 15mg x 2 daily

If you take double this dose your GP will need to find out if his budget £600 per month for 60 mg daily of Phenelzine sulphate as unlicensed drug

£7.200 per annum and if the nhs do not fund your drug that is what it will cost you to stay on the drug
