We’re thrilled to share that we had a hugely successful premiere, filling 75% of the seats!

It was such a special evening, made even more memorable by the wonderful performance of the film’s original song by Miriam Ashford and Dylan Friedrich.

We’re incredibly proud to share that 'My Hair Is a River of Tears' has won Best Short Animation at The Monza Film Fest 🏆

At Monza, what matters most is the underlying idea of a film - not budget, not resources, but originality, vision, and creative intent. To have this film recognised within that framework feels deeply affirming, particularly for a project driven by emotion, metaphor, and experimentation.

The festival’s jury meets every two months for private screenings, with select award-winning films going on to be screened at the final event at Cinemal Capitol Anteo SpazioCinema in Monza in September 2026 - an exciting prospect.

Huge thanks to The Monza Film Fest for supporting and uplifting filmmakers who take creative risks, and for creating a genuine platform for new voices in cinema.
