L’Atlas des Régions Naturelles, Volume 8
Eric Tabuchi

•
Somewhere between an alternative guide and a formal invention, the Atlas des Régions Naturelles is a photographic archive of French territory from the unexpected angle of natural regions. This hybrid geography plays with administrative boundaries; it carries an emotional charge whose visible expression ARN explores.

Since 2017, artists Eric Tabuchi and Nelly Monnier have been collecting the first plans of the landscape: ordinary architecture, singular constructions, suspended objects and signs. From small roads to medium-sized towns, in the course of a passionate survey of the secondary network, they travel through the extensions of market towns and the under-determined areas of a little-known France.

FALL OFF

Fall Off, by Sébastien Arrighi, turns the notion of falling into a lens through which to read the relationship between humankind and its environment. Like a rodeo—an attempt to hold on, at all costs, to a force greater than oneself—the images explore states of precarious balance, constantly threatened by matter, climate, or history.
Bringing into resonance geographically distant territories, from the Mediterranean basin to the Middle East and the landscapes of the Pacific, Sébastien Arrighi composes a series of images in which human traces surface only faintly. Each image reveals how a given territory shapes bodies, postures, and narratives, within a persistent tension between control and collapse.

ROAD TO THE FARM

✍️Book launch at
Thursday 4th June, 6–8pm
Hope to see you there!

‘I walked this road every day. Through rain and snow, mist and darkness. Sunny summer days, mornings and evenings. The sound of gravel from the steps echoes back from the trees around. The heart pounding from fear of the dark. Year after year. It is part of me; the road runs through me like a frozen river. Away from the farm, back to the farm.’

ROAD TO THE FARM

Road to the Farm brings together a collection of photographs taken by Ola Rindal over the years along the path leading to the farm of his childhood in Fåvang, Norway. Through nearly sixty images, it reveals subtle variations of light, seasons, atmosphere, and everyday gestures. The intimate experience of a place transforms, and a sense of the passage of time gradually emerges.

‘I walked this road every day. Through rain and snow, mist and darkness. Sunny summer days, mornings and evenings. The sound of gravel from the steps echoes back from the trees around.
