সকালে টসের পর হালকা বুকে ব্যথা অনুভব করলে সংশ্লিষ্ট খেলোয়াড় বিষয়টি দ্রুত দলের ফিজিও ও ট্রেইনারকে জানান। প্রাথমিকভাবে গ্যাস্ট্রিকজনিত সমস্যা মনে হওয়ায় তিনি গ্যাস্ট্রিকের ওষুধ গ্রহণ করেন। তবে কিছুক্ষণ পরও অবস্থার উন্নতি না হওয়ায় সতর্কতার অংশ হিসেবে নিকটতম হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয় এবং চিকিৎসা শেষে তিনি বিকেএসপিতে ফিরে আসেন।

এরপর শারীরিক অবস্থার আরও অবনতি ঘটলে দ্রুত বিকল্প ব্যবস্থার কথা ভাবা হয়। দলের (মোহামেডান স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব) ম্যানেজার শিপন ভাইয়ের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে হেলিকপ্টারের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়, যাতে দ্রুত উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য স্থানান্তর করা সম্ভব হয়। তবে পরিস্থিতি আরও জটিল হয়ে পড়লে তাকে ফের নিকটতম কেপিজে হাসপাতাল ও নার্সিং কলেজে নেওয়া হয়। সেখানে প্রয়োজনীয় পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার পর তার হার্টে ব্লক ধরা পড়ে।

চিকিৎসকদের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী দ্রুত এনজিওগ্রাম করা হয় এবং রিং পরানো হয়। বর্তমানে তিনি কার্ডিয়াক কেয়ার ইউনিটে (CCU) বিশেষজ্ঞ চিকিৎসকদের নিবিড় পর্যবেক্ষণে রয়েছেন।

তার সুস্থতার জন্য সবার দোয়া কামনা করা হচ্ছে, যাতে দ্রুত সুস্থ হয়ে তিনি স্বাভাবিক জীবনে ফিরে আসতে পারেন।
