Many of these popular brands have funny ways by which their brand names are pronounced.

I was in a store in London during the Christmas season, an exquisite lady had walked in. She was beautiful in all her glory.

She wanted bag. We all started laughing the moment she pronounced the name of the brand. The sale assistant could not help to laugh. I laughed too and the lady that wanted to buy the bag.

It was yet another time for the sale assistant to teach us on the proper way of pronouncing the brand name.

What brand name do you struggle to pronounce properly? How much mess did you make when you tried to pronounce it.

It's been beautiful. Different attires and mehn, people are proud to be associated with it.

Unlike in Africa, where many people believe, our local practice and cultures are bad. Our festival of masquerades is seen as something devilish that should be discarded by all means, these ones have been filled with joy and happiness and have been in wonderful mood of Halloween celebration.

Last Friday night was agog with Halloween themed parties. Clubs and fun centres were filled to the brim.

Is it possible to "internationalise" our local festivals and practices in Africa?

I believe, we've got many values to share to the world.

It happened that, I met a guy on the street of London. He came in through the right route though, with valid documents but, he travelled away from his abode with only £500 in his pocket.

He got the shock of his life when he got into the UK. He discovered that, there's a big difference between reality and the illusion of the fallacy he had about his new location. He had no financial power whatsoever.

Other than having a valid document to travel, ensure to come in with as much money as possible.

With adequate money, you have the power of instant liquidity, purchasing power and you have the ability to buy, rent and being able to settle down as urgently as possible.

For those who are seeking legitimate ways to relocate abroad, I wish you success.

Let me tell you this: you will have to put your Masters degrees, social status, and "I was a bank manager" on the side and do whatever job first comes your way to survive first. Common jobs that I know come easily in the USA are in the healthcare (home health aides), security, and retail workers. While the first two require some training which are mostly affordable and accessible, the retail jobs require no experience for entry levels-- you will be trained on the job. The pay may not be exactly what you wished for, but do I need to tell you that half bread is better than none here?

Disregard anybody's mockery of any jobs you chose to do. We value and respect every job here. It doesn't matter to anyone whether you wash butts, or clean toilets, or work in a bank, work in IT, or stock shelves. As long as it earns you legit money to cater for your needs nobody cares or makes fun of you here. Many people do those jobs amidst other options and live good.

While you are doing what you don't like to survive, you'll be building experience and working towards what you want.

As for those who are hoping to stay illegally with a visiting visa, please, don't do it.
