Phongsali, the city above the clouds.
We are over 1300m above the sea level.
Phongsali is known for its rich in culture and ethnic diversity. There are more than 10 ethic groups calling this province home. Tai Phou Noi, Khmu and Akha are the main population. Several others include Lao, Ho, Lahu, Hmong and others.
The town is known to be one of the oldest in Laos with lots of Chinese influence. It is also known to be the best place to produce tea with long history of over 400 years old.

Sadly, the town is getting decreased in population due to many have moved to nearby city, Muang Bountai for a better living standards due to its location.
