.we still have options in midfield.
For actual quality, player for player I can't truly say i would match any player up against another in their position in any other Premier League team.
Our quality as a team and club SHOULD be above anyone below the bottom half of the table.
And our present status says that's just not so.
However, the quality we DO have, on any given day CAN five any Premier league team a run for their money.
And fair is fair to say we have also shown that all season.
That being said, we simply haven't been good enough when it truly mattered..more often than not.
Al our defeats have been by small margins. Bur some of those defeats have been to historically ..and in fact weaker teams. Namely Palace and Ipswich Town. And to be honest it will take some doing to live those defeats down.
Others, to Arsenal, Brighton and Chelscum perhaps should be liveable with..and may be Newcastle. But really and truly they aren't. That one goal margin of error should just not have been for varying reasons.
Chelscum and Brighton both came back from 0-2 down to take all three points. The fact that Brighton was away and Chelscum was at home doesn't make any difference . No Premier League team worth it's salt can rest easy throwing away a two goal lead. Just..Not done son.
And in all and every game, despite our also obvious defensive deficiencies through injuries the main kicker remains not taking our chances..or enough of them to at least come away with value.
And that by itself can't be a wholesale indictment against Ange Postecoglu. AngeBall is good ball and I stand by that.
However, both on the training pitch and in the transfer market Ange Postecoglu remains ultimately responsible for the players output on the pitch.
And what remains obvious is that more than most other teams, Spurs still has a waning chance at SOME honour and glory this season.
And without real and tangible excuse BESIDES money, this window Ange
