💔 "How My Friend Betrayed Me and Stole My Business Idea"

Let me tell you something that changed the way I see people — even those I once called “friends.”
Back in 2022, I had this idea for a small but unique online thrift store. Not the usual kind. Mine was different. I wanted to combine second-hand fashion with storytelling — every item would have a “story behind the style.” I had the name, the brand colors, even the Instagram layout planned out in a notebook I carried everywhere.
The only person I told was one of my friend, someone I’d known for long. I shared everything with her — the business name, logo concept, even the vendors I was planning to use.
She hyped me up.
She said: “Wow! This is fire! You’re really creative.”
She even promised to help me create the Instagram page when I was ready.

Two months later, I was scrolling on IG, and I saw a page that looked very familiar — same concept, same storytelling format, even the logo idea was similar.
I checked the handle — it was HER.
She had launched the business. My business.
At first, I was confused. I refreshed the page like 5 times. I thought it was a coincidence. Until I saw the vendor I recommended to her. The same caption style. Even one of my sample posts.
I didn’t cry — I was just numb.
She didn’t say a word to me. She ghosted me completely. No apology. No explanation.
