Proud moment. This is Mango Studios LDN’s first ever documentary ‘Slums to Sales: The Story Behind Fonthill Road’ Fully produced, edited and funded in-house by our team.
We set out to shine a light on the incredible businesses and residents that make Fonthill Road what it is, a place full of energy, history and resilience. The film features voices from the community, local entrepreneurs, and an appearance from Jeremy Corbyn who has long supported the area.
This project was also a learning experience for our T Levels students, who worked alongside our production team to capture interviews, edit footage and gain real insight into professional filmmaking.
It’s been an uplifting community project and a reminder of how powerful storytelling can be in connecting people, driving local pride and sparking opportunity.
We’d love to partner with Islington Council and other local stakeholders to produce more creative projects that give visibility to untold stories and empower local communities.
