MY TESTIMONY
OLUWAKEMI OKUSAGA KUMI
Ibasepe Oluwa ko ti wa nitiwa(k&s 156).

I want to share a testimony that has profoundly impacted my faith journey. Recently, I traveled to Nigeria for my housewarming for my new home, an event that was meant to be a celebration but quickly turned into a series of challenges that tested my faith and resilience.

Challenges Faced-
(1) Upon arriving in Nigeria, I was filled with excitement and anticipation for the joyous occasion. However, when I met my mother, the condition she was was alarming, her two legs were rotting and almost dead. She had been experiencing severe leg pain and have been hiding it from me, which led me to seek medical attention the following day. After several examinations, the doctors informed us that she required surgery to remove four dead veins from each legs. This news was devastating; not only was it a significant health concern, but it also added immense stress during what should have been a time of joy.
As we prepared for her surgery, I leaned heavily on prayer and the support of one of my friend and family pastor. The day of the surgery was filled with anxiety as we waited for updates. Thankfully, the procedure went well, and my mother is now on the road to recovery. This experience taught me the power of prayer and the importance of having faith during difficult times.

(2). After my mother was discharged from the hospital, I nearly passed away in the middle of the night seeking for breath scrolling on the floor in other to pick my phone to call for help. But God in infinite mercy helped me to regain my breath after like 5 to 10 minutes.

(3). Just when I thought things were settling down, I moved into my new home on the 14th of November 2024 in other to start preparing for my birthday and house warming photoshoots After three days of sleeping in my new home, another crisis emerged involving my chef on the 17th of November 2024 it’s Sunday morning, he didn’t wake up from his sleep and was found unconscious with foam and blood coming out of his mouth in his room closer to the kitchen as found lifeless by one of my other staffs.
It was a terrifying moment; we rushed him to a specialist hospital where doctors worked tirelessly to revive him. I was taken to the police custody to write a statement. Little did I know that they are retaining me for further investigation for 2 days. My passports were taken including my two phones. I felt I was dreaming. One of the police officers ask me to keep on praying that it’s reality of life After what felt like an eternity, they managed to stabilize him. I was taken back to the hospital to see him. When I saw my chef back to life after 2 days, I bust into a big cry I was rolling over the floor haaa God I suffered.
What would people be saying if he had died in the new house ? Glory be to God

Through these trials—my mother’s surgery and my cook’s health scare—I learned invaluable lessons about faith and resilience. Each challenge reinforced my belief that God is always present in our lives, even when circumstances seem dire.
I encourage all of you to trust in God’s plan for your life and remember that challenges are often opportunities for growth and deeper understanding of His love.
