A few months back, a dream piece of work came my way and I got to work on the BBC Sounds series The Rise and Fall of Madchester.

I got to interview some of the legends from that era, work with loads of incredible archive footage and audio, and create the social assets and trailer for the series.

I was already a big fan of the scene and had a decent understanding of what happened, but it was brilliant to have the opportunity to properly deep dive into that moment in Manchester’s history.

More than 30 years on, the ripple effect of what happened then is still very much present in Manchester today. Tony Wilson famously said they “We made history, not money”. I think he was right and his legacy, and the legacy of that whole era, still lives on.

If you’re a fan of that music or not, I think you’d still really enjoy it! So If you haven’t already, go and listen to all 8 episodes on BBC Sounds. It’s hilarious, fascinating, shocking and inspiring, and it makes me very proud to come from such a place. 🐝

A few months back, a dream piece of work came my way and I got to work on the BBC Sounds series The Rise and Fall of Madchester.

Saturama hit the road 🌳

2 shows in Brighton at ‘The Old Market’ as part of the Brighton Festival.

Great to take this further afield and gain new audiences.

And whilst on the road, turning it into a mini holiday and exploring some other interesting parts of the country 🧀
