It’s beginning to feel a lot more festive now that High Street Ken’s origami-inspired Christmas sculpture has gone up, made from 100% recyclable aluminium.
‘Oru, the Listening Tree’ has been designed with interaction in mind by and visitors are encouraged to share their wishes with the tree!
In response to people’s voices and presence, the magical boughs glow different colours. ✨
You can find the tree at the Plaza, just off High Street Kensington until Epiphany on 6th January 2026. With lighting functionality from .uk and fabrication by , Jackson’s winning design impressed the judges of the destination-led design call-out to create this year’s Christmas tree installation.
Named after the Japanese word 折る (oru) ‘to fold,’ Oru reimagines the festive tree and was chosen for its clarity, creativity and commitment to sustainability.
