Ten years ago, I contributed to The Burt Report: Inclusive Support for Women in Enterprise 2015.
By then, I'd been in business for 18 years, with plenty to say.
Has much improved? Women-led startups increased to 54% of all Scottish startups (according to Women's Enterprise Scotland research) - Yayyy!
WES rightly points out the ~£17bn opportunity cost to the economy... but a 61% attrition rate is, well, challenging. And women-led employer businesses dropping to only 20%, speaks volumes about confidence, constraints and access to capital.
