Ghanaian rapper Kofi Mole has released a new single titled “YOPOO” from his forthcoming EP. The track features fellow city mates Reggie Osei and Kwaku DMC, both notable figures in the Asakaa music scene.
Kofi Mole, renowned for his hit single “Mensah,” explained that “YOPOO” signifies purity or cleanliness. He shared that the song embodies his personal journey from enduring significant hardships to experiencing a profound sense of renewal and purity.
“I have been through considerable adversity. I had to fight continuously and not allow it to break me. I have surmounted those challenging moments, and I now feel a sense of cleanliness and purity in my life. It feels more like a rebirth,” Mole expressed in an interview.
He further elaborated on his choice of collaborators, stating, “I selected Reggie and Kwaku DMC because their music narrates their transition from difficult beginnings to achieving greatness, which resonates with the theme of ‘YOPOO.’”
