Wanting to create the next big car brand made for the new breed of digital natives. In July 2011, he graduated and jumped into running CT full-time and started to build what is now a global . In July 2012, Car Throttle gained backing from Passion Capital (Skype, Last.fm, AOL) and in 2013 was shortlisted at The Europas in the Best Audio, Video or Entertainment Startup category.

After several years of concepts, spy shots and teases, one of the most exciting new cars of recent years has been revealed in full: the Toyota GR GT. Pitched as a spiritual successor to the 2000GT and Lexus LFA, the GR GT is part halo car for the Gazoo Racing range, part homologation special for Toyota’s next-gen GT3 racer.

Details are still few and far between, as it’s still over a year until the car is launched proper, but the basics go like this: 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid, rear-wheel drive, 641bhp, 627lb ft and 199mph — with all those numbers coming with an ‘at least’ tagged onto them. An aluminium chassis and carbon body, meanwhile, keep weight down below 1750kg – not bad for a hybrid that’s almost the size of a current Aston Vanquish.

We found out a few months back that Mercedes is planning on relaunching the convertible version of the legendary G-Class. Judging by the barely-effective camouflage on this prototype, we’d say it’s nearly ready.

Full info on the drop-top G is still scarce at the moment, but it should be unveiled proper in 2026. Interestingly, though, Mercedes refers to it as a ‘special edition’, hinting that it might be another fleeting appearance like the last convertible G-Class, 2017’s Maybach G650 Landaulet.
