Have you ever been in a relationship that just won’t end? Dead Horse is a new film exploring that idea to its logical and bloody end. Imagine if you will Blue Valentine by way of Switchblade Romance and you are halfway to understanding our plot.
Beth and Mitch are now exes. They were once infatuated with each other, inseparable and deeply in love. Then one day Beth had a realisation that she didn’t want this anymore. She tried moving on with her life but Mitch always found a way to come back. Given their past she conceited and fell back into his loving and annoying charms. These however has well and truly worn off. Beth has devised a plan, one that will result in their final break up.
Told in a blackly funny yet emotionally draining narrative, Dead Horse promises to be a unique entry into the horror genre. It will inject dramatic tension, complicated scenarios and demonstrate there is more to horror than gore. Not that that’s a bad thing. For one night only, SE28GROUP proudly presents a live reading of the script, amidst their two week filming. It will be a work in progress but one that will help shape the final product in more ways than one.
